River Valley Health and Dental’s Mobile Unit provides much-needed dental services to residents of isolated rural communities. The mobile dental unit travels to Head Start centers, schools, and nursing facilities to enable providers to administer care on site.

The River Valley Health Mobile Dental Services program, relies on strong support from agencies, community groups, and the public to bring dental care to those who need it. We often partner with schools, government agencies, and local dental professionals who provide resources like electricity, water, equipment, and supplies. Community organizations also help by referring patients and connecting them to care. This vital program is funded through a mix of patient fees, donations, and fundraising, with costs also covering van maintenance and licensing.
With a fully equipped mobile clinic, we’re making dental care accessible for everyone, ensuring that even rural or underserved communities have the support they need for healthy smiles.
The River Valley Health Mobile Dental Unit was funded by a grant from the First Community Foundation Partnership & the Lycoming County United Way.

Taking care of your child’s teeth is very important, and River Valley Health makes it easy by bringing dental care right to your child’s school. Our Mobile Care Unit visits local schools to provide convenient, quality dental services for students. Any child in the district can participate!
How to sign up
To get started, just fill out the enrollment form completely. This form helps us collect necessary details, including insurance information. If you have insurance, we’ll bill it directly, and you’ll only be responsible for any remaining balance. If you don’t have insurance, we offer a sliding fee scale that adjusts costs based on your income and family size, so every child can get the care they need.
